Ys Memoire: The Oath In Felghana is a very faithful remake of the original 2005 game, no frills or major additions. That means it remains basically identical in length to the PSP version, now just a bit sharper and smoother. And how long then does that make the game? Let's check it out.

How Long Does It Take To Beat The Main Story?

The Oath in Felghana is quite a linear game, more than one might expect from your typical RPG. This isn't your typical RPG though, putting a much higher emphasis on combat and moment-to-moment tactics rather than long-form builds.

This applies to every aspect of the game too, from the short-and-sweet side quests to the just-right dungeon length. Without ever really having the chance to get lost, and not much in the way of optional content, The Oath In Felghana could easily be beat in less than 20 hours.

In fact, with you bee-lining right to the end and ignoring most other parts of the game in favour of the main story, you could even finish the game in about 12 hours.

How Long Does It Take To 100% The Game?

The game is short no matter what, though you could add a little bit of extra length to that with some thorough exploration, upgrading all your equipment, taking on side quests and so on. Even still, that won't add an exceptional amount of length to the game.

In just the main story, finishing every side quest, finding every optional item, exploring every inch of every location, will only add around three or four hours to your runtime. Even with everything, the game will still lock in at around 15-16 hours.

After you beat the game, you unlock both the Time Attack mode and New Game Plus. The former has two unique secret bosses, while the latter doesn't offer anything new beyond a fun way to play through the game again. As such, you could add another hour or two with the Time Attack mode to fully beat it, giving us a total of 18 hours to complete the game entirely.

The second secret boss of the Time Attack mode requires completing the game on the Inferno difficulty, which can only be performed on a second playthrough. Counting this, your total playtime would shoot up to around 30 hours.
