Every time a gacha game gets a big update, the biggest news is almost always the new characters. Honkai: Star Rail's 3.0 patch was no different. The Herta and Aglaea are the featured characters for the debut of Amphoreus, and both are demigods in their own right, with The Herta acting as a pinnacle Erudition character and Aglaea taking her place as the first limited five-star Remembrance unit.

In the event your stack distribution gets mixed up, don't worry. The Herta's Ultimate distributes Interpretation "intelligently," meaning Ultimate damage will prioritize stacks based on the relative power of each enemy.

You should pull The Herta if:

  • You want a powerful damage dealer with easy-to-access team building.
  • You want a character who makes exploration more comfortable.
  • You want a character who functions almost entirely differently from anyone else who came before her.
  • You like her design and her wizard hat. Preferably both.

Why You Should Pull For Aglaea

Honkai: Star Rail - Should You Pull For The Herta Or Aglaea?

Aglaea is also Chrysos Heir, a demigod empowered by a Titan of Amphoreus, and is the first limited five-star Remembrance Path character in Honkai: Star Rail. She brings a ton of new mechanics and potential team-building options to the table and kickstarts a new DPS meta with the introduction of summons.

All Remembrance characters add a twist to the Star Rail combat loop thanks to the addition of summons, or memosprites.

Aglaea's memosprite is one of her mannequins, Garmentmaker, which can act independently or in tandem with its master. That interplay is at the core of Aglaea's gameplay, and there are two parts to it.

First, Agalaea marks any enemy she attacks, and the Garmentmaker will only attack the marked target, with weaker blows hitting the two enemies beside them. Attacking marked enemies increases Garmentmaker's Speed.

While Aglaea and Garmentmaker have separate health pools, damage to either provides Aglaea with Ultimate Energy.

Activating her Ultimate increases Aglaea's Speed and gives her an Enhanced Basic Attack where she and Garmentmaker act in unison. Garmentmaker's Speed continues to increase with each attack.

The higher the two characters' combined Speeds, the more damage they can deal.

Summons like The Garmentmaker takes up a fifth unit slot on the field and can be the target of buffs, action-forward effects, and other enhancements. Summons aren't permanent units, however, and leave the field after a duration.
