Unlocking Weapon Reforging

Completing the main storyline for any faction unlocks this feature. Load a post-game save; the "Reforge Weapons" option will then be available in every city. Reforging incurs a gold cost, dependent on weapon tier and affected traits. This cost can accumulate if you reforge frequently or aim for fully upgraded gear.

Reforging Weapons: A Step-by-Step Guide

You can reforge any weapon, but require an identical copy as a crafting material. The material's name must match the weapon being upgraded, though modifier numbers can differ (e.g., a base Sky Splitter can upgrade a Sky Splitter 2). The crafting material is consumed. Always select the weapon to be reforged first, then the sacrificial weapon.

Two reforging options exist: Reforge Power and Reforge Traits.

Reforge Power: This boosts the weapon's level, slightly increasing Attack Power. Each 1 level adds roughly 3 Attack Power, making it inefficient for significant power gains. However, after optimizing traits, it's a viable method for further damage enhancement.

Reforge Traits: This replaces a trait on your chosen weapon with one from the sacrificial weapon. Rarer traits cost more gold. Unselected traits on the sacrificed weapon are lost.
