Astro's Playroom: Hidden Robot Collection Guide in PS5 Free Game
As the predecessor to "Astro Bot Rescue Mission", "Astro's Playroom" is a great platform game that all PS5 players can play for free when they first get the console. Containing four main areas, all of which tie into other PlayStation games and devices, it's also a challenging platformer that takes full advantage of the DualShock 5 controller's unique design.
However, in exploring the history of PlayStation, Astro needs to rescue special robots. These bots were added shortly before the release of Astro Bot Rescue Mission, and each area of the game has its own special bot to find and collect in preparation for the next game in the Astro Bot series.
Unlock ways to find and collect all special robots
To unlock the ability to find and collect all the special robots in Astro's Playroom , you must reach and complete the 1994 nostalgia level . This is the last level and area of the game, so you must complete the main objective of the game in order to collect these special robots.
For the GPU jungle level, go to part one: Renderforest. Play the level as usual, until you reach the first new checkpoint of the level .
Here you must pull some cables to reach a new area above and defeat some nearby enemies. But before you go through the wall by pulling the cable in some rocks ahead, look to the left, go into the petals and you'll find a special robot.
To free the robot, you need to solve a puzzle, the clue being the clock image on its capsule. To fix this, head to the nearby raised circular platform with two caterpillar-like enemies on it. Defeat them to reveal another ally robot , this one needs to be rotated to create a climbable surface to reach the next section.
Walk along the raised platforms until you reach the most extended platform, but not the tallest one , which has a clock on the side. Pressing the Options button on your controller will open a date selection screen, and instead of a traditional menu, the solution revolves around the robot you're trying to help rescue: The Hunter from Bloodborne .
So, enter the release date of Bloodborne, November 24, 2015 (tagged 24-11-2015), which will free the GPU jungle of special robot. No need to return to where you found the robot, as it has already been rescued.
To begin the path to collecting and rescuing special robots in Memory Meadows, start at the Wind Passage and proceed to a rope past the island with strong winds.
After activating that rope, return to the starting area and look for the cable hidden in the grass near the two obelisks. Pulling these cables will give you a small projectile that can be thrown, so pick it up and cross your activated rope.
Then, just after another reappearance, a glowing cloud will appear and the game will reveal that you can throw your projectiles at them. It will show an ape-man escaping from a special robot, and the clue to help rescue it is just an image of a banana.
Continue the level as normal until you reach the checkpoint after riding the cloud. Instead of proceeding the normal way, use the rocks to climb the wall to reach the top tree. Spinning at the bottom of the tree, the robot sits on top of the tree and it drops some bananas. Pick them up and return to the special robot .
To free them, you must imitate their movements, which you can do through Astro Bot's movements. Every press on the D-pad is a different dance, and the dances performed by special robots are randomized. After matching four dances, the robot will be rescued.
This particular robot is in the third part of the level, Deep Data Space . Once you reach the location, play as normal until just before the fourth checkpoint where you can pull a gun out of the ground on a small raised platform to the left.
On this platform, there will be a small protruding rock wall to the left of it. Walk up to it and a special robot will be revealed . This robot refers to the PS5 game Return to Wolfenstein and uses images of astronauts to give you hints.
Next, get the Gatling Gun and proceed to the next section. Make sure to leave one enemy alive, as dying with an item is key to freeing the special robot (refer to the death mechanic in Return to Wolfenstein).
When you pass the living enemies you left behind, climb to the top of the area on the white walls. Move along it until you reach the tiny astronaut above, then deliberately die standing on it in order to respawn at the checkpoint and rescue the special robot .
To reveal a special robot on Robot Beach, step on multiple starfish in a specific order.
The first starfish is located on the right side of the dock when the player first falls into the water from the slide. When you step on it, your controller will make a little sound. The second one is located near a wider pier on the left, just a little to the left past it.
Go back to the dock where you found the first correct starfish and look towards the sandstorm and you will see one
just to the right of the nearby palm tree which is the third starfish. The last starfish is at the left end of the beach, slightly underwater . Stepping on it will reveal GT Racing Special Robot.
This robot is a racer and his prompt is
a specific path. Before you start this path, head to the end of the beach opposite the last starfish and knock over a blue object to reveal a steering wheel .
Then, open your map and your controller should start making racing sounds. If you make a wrong move in the path, it will make a collision sound.
Since the path starts at Robot Beach,
follow the path shown on the special robot capsule to rescue him and unlock the final special robot.
