The fight unfolds in three phases.

Phase 1:

This phase features the following attacks:

Attack Name Type Details
Ascalon's Mercy Conal AoE Three frontal cones inflicting Windburn DoT. Avoid the AoE markers.
Ancient Quaga Roomwide AoE Room-wide damage; use AoE heals.
Lightning Storm Circle AoEs Multiple circular AoEs targeting players; spread to avoid overlap.
Meteorain Circle AoEs Follows Lightning Storm; additional circular AoEs. Avoid the markers.
Knights of the Round Special Summons Knights Twelve for various attacks (detailed in Phase 2).
The Dragon's Eye Buff Damage Up buff for Thordan, enhancing the next Ascalon's Mercy with more AoEs.
The Dragon's Gaze Gaze Attack Follows The Dragon's Eye; inflicts Terror on players facing Thordan when the cast ends. Turn your back.

This phase continues until Thordan reaches approximately 15% health, then transitions to Phase 2.

Phase 2:

This phase involves defeating the Knights Twelve in a set order:

  1. Ser Charibert & Ser Hermenost: Charibert uses three rows of three Circular AoEs; Hermenost summons three pillars requiring strategic positioning (similar to Phase 1 mechanics).
  2. Ser Zephirin: Casts Sacred Cross; reducing his health to 1 before the cast completes minimizes damage.
  3. Ser Vellguine: Uses a large line AoE (similar to previous phase).
  4. Ser Adelphel & Ser Janlenoux: Use Holiest of Holy (party-wide damage) and Holy Bladedance (high damage to a single target).
  5. Ser Ignasse: Proximity AoE; move away from the marker to reduce damage.
  6. Ser Paulecrain & Ser Haumeric: Paulecrain uses a tracking line AoE; Haumeric uses ice AoEs creating puddles inflicting Leaden and Frostbite.
  7. Ser Grinnaux: Creates four expanding AoEs.
  8. Ser Noudenet: Summons Comet and Meteor Circles; destroy all circles to prevent meteor damage.
  9. Ser Guerrique: During the meteor phase, uses a cascading conal AoE with a safe spot behind him.

After destroying the circles, Thordan and the Knights Twelve cast Ultimate End (use AoE heals). The fight proceeds to Phase 3.

Phase 3:

Thordan receives a Damage Down debuff and only uses weak auto-attacks. Focus your damage to defeat him.
