Every God in Smite 2 functions drastically differently from one another, even different Gods who fulfill similar purposes: tank-style Supports, healers, Junglers, etc. can do what they do in wildly different ways. One thing that can drastically change how each God might function from another player using the same God is a God Aspect.
While as of the writing of this, not every God has a God Aspect available to them, the ones that do have access to essentially two different playstyles, sometimes going so far as enabling them to play entirely different roles. These God Aspects can be toggled, but must be done so before the match.
Anhur's Aspect Of Pride changes his passive ability, Enfeeble. Instead of debuffing an enemy's Physical Protection, this now increases Anhur's Attack Speed while attacking the same enemy God. This is great for focused harassing of the same enemy, making it more difficult for them to compete the longer the fight goes.
Ares' Aspect Of Reverberation tilts him into a little bit more of an aggressive character. Instead of his Call To Arms ability granting Protection and Basic Attack damage to allies, it amplifies his own next Basic Attack to hit more than one enemy.
Athena's Aspect Of War changes how her ultimate ability works. Generally, that ability would allow her to teleport herself to any ally on the map, regardless of proximity or line of sight.
With the Aspect Of War, this allows Athena to teleport to enemies, instead. She will need line of sight in this case.
When played as a Jungler, this gives Athena perfect ambushing opportunities.
Bacchus's Aspect Of Revelry changes how his Basic Attack works after using his Chug ability. After using Chug, his inhand attacks gain a bonus relating to his Strength, rather than his Protections, allowing you to stack a different stat with Bacchus.
Bellona's Aspect Of Vindication is going to slightly reduce the damage of her final hit with her Bludgeon ability. However, it will spread the positive effect of her Sword And Shield and Scourge weapons to nearby allies, giving her good support capability.
Cernunnos' Aspect Of Strife gets rid of the ranged component of his Basic Attack. But, it does increase its damage, as well as give it Cleave and enables it to apply Shifter Of Seasons to enemies that it hits. This is going to allow him much more control over his immediate surroundings and can be a massive benefit to him.
Chaac's Aspect Of Fulmination removes the ability to heal but increases the amount of damage he can deal, especially in an area. It turns the healing effects of Rain Dance into a damaging effect, instead. This hurts his ability to tank but increases his damage output by quite a bit.
Cupid's Aspect Of Love is a great Aspect when using him as a Support character and less great when trying to maximize his offensive potential. This reduces the damage of his Heart Bomb ability but does allow it to decrease enemy attack speed and heal allies near the explosion. It also gains allies a health shield after they've gained Eight Lovestruck stacks.
Danzaburou's Aspect Of Fellowship further increases his cloning potential while hurting his ability to heal. This gets rid of his sake bottle in his Alluring Spirits ability, and instead, that ability spawns two clones of Danzaburou. On top of that, his clones deal increased damage and take less damage.
Fenrir's Aspect Of Loyalty reduces the damage of his Brutalize ability but does enable that ability to inflict a stacking slow effect on enemies. This also reduces the buff of Seething Howl but does apply those effects to nearby allies, as well.
Geb's Aspect Of Calamity changes his Shock Wave ability. Instead of dealing damage in a cone in front of him and knocking enemies into the air, it deals damage in a much larger radius around him. This does, however, get rid of the launch-up effect. This is better for damage-dealing and worse for tanking.
Hecate's Aspect Of Ruin gets rid of the ability to recast it, but the payoff is very worth it. Spell Eater reduces enemy ability damage in the area, but better than that, any time an enemy casts an ability in the area, Hecate will fire a projectile that damages them.
Hercules' Aspect Of Preservation reduces his own individual power but makes him better as part of a group. Instead of increasing Attack Speed and healing Hercules based on damage taken, this provides healing for every nearby allied God, based on how many times everyone was damaged by Basic Attacks.
Khepri's Aspect Of Laceration changes their Abduct ability. Instead of pulling an enemy, Abduct roots them in place and deals constant damage to them while they're rooted. Losing out on a pull can be rough, but if you're looking to increase Khepri's damage potential, this is worth a look.
Loki's Aspect Of Concealment gets rid of the debuff Loki causes enemies when using Vanish, but it does stealth Loki and his nearest ally when using the ability. This is a much more defensive-minded ability, but that stealth can be used to get both of you into position for an ambush, as well.
Mordred's Aspect Of Rage could be considered a buff to his Shoulder Charge ability, depending on where you put the value of the ability. This gets rid of the knock-up effect the ability causes but does allow it to pass through and hit multiple enemies. The cooldown of Shoulder Charge is also reduced any time Mordred damages an enemy God with a different ability.
Neith's Aspect Of Wind gets rid of the rooting effect of Broken Weave, as well as reducing the time of the buff. But, it greatly increases the Attack Speed benefit, and allows World Weaver to grant Neith Broken Weave stacks.
Nemesis' Aspect Of Justice is a superb ability, changing how her ultimate, Divine Judgment, works. Instead of damaging an area, this ability averages Nemesis and the other God's health, if Nemesis has less overall. This can turn the tide dramatically in her favor if she's on her last gasp and the enemy is healthy.
Ra's Aspect Of Thermotherapy turns him into a much more Support-oriented character, but a very strong one. This changes his Solar Blessing and Searing Pain abilities; they deal reduced damage, but Solar Blessing can be placed on allied Gods, providing them with a plethora of benefits, including healing. Searing Pain will also heal allied Gods that it contacts.
Sobek's Aspect Of Prey changes how he works pretty dramatically. Charge Prey now passes through targets, and instead of pulling one back, it pushes them all forward. It also allows Sickening Strike to gain reduced cooldown from being used on Jungle Monsters, though it halves the healing that the ability provides.
Thanatos' Aspect Of Reaping gives Thanatos the opportunity to become much more powerful throughout a match. This gets rid of Harvester Of Souls' ability to heal, instead granting him increased maximum health. It also grants Soul Reap bonus damage and a healing effect that heals based on Thanatos' maximum health.
The Morrigan's Aspect Of Mischief gets rid of the stealth effect that Confusion gives her. Instead, refiring the ability swaps The Morrigan's position with the clone that the ability spawns, making it difficult for the enemy to keep track of her.
Vulcan's Aspect Of Fortification lowers his damage potential but gains him some improved survivability. This reduces the damage scaling of his Magma Bomb and Backfire abilities, but does gain him Protection and Health Regeneration when near his turrets. This allows Vulcan to control zones remarkably well, which can be helpful both offensively and defensively.
