In Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter, your mission is to fortify Winter's Edge for the impending Darkwing conflict. After upgrading your shops, focus on enhancing your weaponry. The "These Blessed Tools" quest involves aiding Rita, the smith, in maximizing her skills. This isn't just about better materials; the tools require divine blessings to craft top-tier weapons.

Helping Rita Upgrade Her Tools

This quest unlocks after completing "Hammer & Tongs." Rita requests your help in obtaining a divine blessing at a shrine in The Rift.

Speak to Rita at the Rift Docks, then fast travel to Bogmire Forge to save time. Find Rita at the shrine, where she's interacting with a large octopus-like creature. Follow her to find a Druid for the ritual.

Merlin's Ritual Preparations

Clear enemies (or avoid them) until you find a herb trail leading to a new area of The Rift. This leads to Merlin's Hut. After defeating Frog enemies, Merlin appears and requests a special root from a nearby tower.

Instead of going up the stairs near the shrine, go left to find a locked tower door. Merlin's key unlocks it. Inside, defeat Rift Frogs and climb ladders to find a Mole. The Mole provides a T-Pass, but you need a fuse to open the door it unlocks.

Finding the Fuse

Go left on the Rift map, past the Whale Boneyard, to the lower caverns. Defeat Frog and Tailspinner enemies. Interact with the blinking machine to get a Yellow Fuse.

Return to the Mole, who will install the fuse, granting you the Mole Blueprint, opening nearby doors, and awarding the Dull Mole Sword and Dull Mole Helmet. Climb the nearest ladder, go left, defeat Tailspinners, and obtain the Hedgehog's Tea Plant. Return to the shrine.

Give the Tea to the Druid. Protect Merlin and Rita from undead enemies during the ritual. These enemies are vulnerable only at close range. After defeating them, the ritual completes.

Rewards

Besides the Dull Mole Sword and Dull Mole Helmet, you receive:
