While hundreds of enemies offer stealable items in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, it's important to note that, unlike its predecessor, no weapons, armor, accessories, or Materia are exclusively obtained through this method. Its primary function is acquiring items for Gil or Item Transmuter crafting.
The Assess Materia can preview an enemy's stealable items (or "---" if none exist).
Obtaining the Steal Materia is straightforward. After completing Chapter 2, it's available in all Vending Machine Shops for 500 Gil. Alternatively, Yuffie joins the party with Steal Materia already equipped, allowing immediate use by any party member.
