Kingdom Come Deliverance 2's early game throws a lot at you. Navigating the mechanics and numerous side quests can be overwhelming. One such quest involves recovering your canine companion, Mutt. This involves helping a shepherd dealing with wolf and wild dog attacks. The shepherd provides a ram, Ignatius, as bait to lure the predators. However, finding and leading Ignatius uphill presents a challenge.
Locating Ignatius:
Don't waste time searching every sheep! Ignatius blends in with the shepherd's flock. He's located near the shepherd's hut, either inside or just outside the pen. Check around the right side of the pen, near the gate. When you're close, Ignatius's name will appear in the bottom right of your screen. Interact with him; the carrot you received from the shepherd will automatically tether him to you.
Guiding Ignatius Uphill:
Once Ignatius is following, head uphill towards the Y-shaped tree. Don't rush! Proceed in short bursts (10-20 yards), then turn to check on Ignatius. He'll run to catch up, pause, and wait for you to continue. Repeat this process until you reach the tree. If he lags behind, return to him to regain his attention.
At the tree, open your inventory, drop the carrot, and close the inventory. Ignatius will eat it, triggering the next phase: hiding in the bushes to observe the wolf attack.
You'll then decide whether to return to the shepherd or defend Ignatius. While the shepherd will be upset if Ignatius is killed, it's not a game-ending event. Sadly, Mutt might not be among the attackers, making Ignatius's sacrifice potentially futile.
