The first Citizen Sleeper game follows a down-on-its-luck android (or “sleeper”) on a space station where everyone is trying to make ends meet. It’s a relatively small CRPG-like with gameplay to match. Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector has taken another step towards being a full-fledged, galaxy-spanning RPG, with new mechanics, crew members, and an exciting new plot.
Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector is quirky game that plays like nothing else. These tips will make sure this sleep doesn't become a nightmare.
It’s not Starfield, but it is a longer game than the last one, especially if you want to finish all the crew storylines. So here’s how long this starward sequel takes to finish for each style.
Despite being a little stressful– it’s literally a game mechanic– Citizen Sleeper 2 isn’t an especially hard game. The quests are straightforward, there aren’t many ways to game over, and almost everything is optional. That said, it is luck-based, and on higher difficulties there’s a lot more grinding and strategizing needed.
The HowLongToBeat site says that the average person playing the main story took 8 and a half hours to beat the game. That’s two hours more than the first game, but what’s more interesting is that most people weren’t playing for the main story.
Most players were going for the extras too; the side quests and companion stories. Not to be completionists, but just because they wanted to see how it panned out for their buddies. The average for this playstyle was 13 and a half hours.
Almost all the achievements can, conceivably, be completed in one playthrough, making Citizen Sleeper 2 a fairly easy RPG to 100%. Almost all of them. “A System In Crisis” is unlocked by completing the game on DANGEROUS difficulty, making many other achievements very difficult to unlock.
Not to mention that Nia and Femi both have achievements for recruiting them– the catch is that you can only recruit one per playthrough, so it’s a game with a minimum of two playthroughs to 100%– and that’s not to mention that there’s no save-scumming.
So if you take your time playing the main story, checking out the extras, and getting most of the achievements, that’ll take you 13 and a half hours. Add a rushed DANGEROUS difficulty playthrough where you collect the other sibling crewmate and that’ll add another 8 hours for a total completionist playtime of around 21 and a half hours.
It might not be much compared to Elden Ring’s 100-hour playtime, but you can save time by checking out our Citizen Sleeper 2 guides.
The indie RPG will make your brain chill while your palms sweat.
