Trosky Castle's demonic infestation: A quest guide
After completing your ordeal at Trosky Castle, speak with Chamberlain Ulric in the inner castle courtyard. He'll discreetly reveal the castle's demonic problem, originating from the fiery depths beneath the fortress. Using holy or magic water provided by Ulric, Henry must investigate the castle's inhabitants – cooks, blacksmith, priest, and scribe – to understand and resolve the situation.
Demons of Trosky Quest Walkthrough
Starting from the Crone tower, begin by speaking with Cook Bertha in the kitchen (accessible via the long staircase from the blacksmith's courtyard). She confirms the demonic activity, pinpointing their origin in the Maiden tower's underground halls. To banish them, sprinkle holy water in five fireplaces within the Maiden tower's basements.
Next, speak with Blacksmith Osina in the courtyard. He mentions demons in a smelly arena in the western courtyard. This leads to a series of frustrating encounters with...privies. Osina's clues ultimately prove misleading, sending Henry on a wild goose chase through multiple latrines before finally completing this part of his task.
Father Nicodemus, while present in the Maiden chapel, offers no useful information. After interacting with Osina's confusing clues, one final privy encounter in a hallway near the Crone side kitchen completes this part of the quest.
The final stage involves sprinkling five fireplaces on each side of the castle at night. Detailed instructions for locating each fireplace on both the Crone and Maiden sides are provided below, with accompanying images:

Once all fireplaces are sprinkled, report back to Chamberlain Ulric (likely in his room). Your reward: 55 groschen, a golden cup (worth 770 groschen), and a golden chalice (worth 580 groschen).
