Hellifish Location

You'll find Hellifish in Oceanus, on your path to the Underworld. This optional mini-boss encounter is triggered by selecting a skull-marked doorway. Look for a large, octopus-like jellyfish surrounded by smaller, spinning jellyfish – that's your target! Other Oceanus mini-bosses you might encounter include Deep Serpens and King Vermin.

Hellifish Abilities & Counters

Hellifish, like other Hades 2 mini-bosses, possesses armor and a single phase with two main attacks:

Hellifish's attack patterns are predictable. It typically spins, jumps, and then slowly lands before firing its projectile, or sometimes spins and fires without jumping.

Defeating Hellifish

The smaller jellyfish present the true challenge. Initially dormant, they activate and begin spinning if approached. Prioritize eliminating these smaller jellyfish first. Boons like Total Eclipse or Lunar Ray (Moon Boons) are highly effective for quickly clearing them. Zeus's Heaven Strike or Hephaestus's Volcanic Strike also excel at area-of-effect damage.

Avoid excessive movement while clearing the smaller jellyfish to prevent them from overwhelming you. If hit by the dark mist projectile, remain calm and carefully dodge the Hellifish's attacks despite the reduced visibility. Simply dash through the smaller jellyfish to avoid their attacks.

After clearing the smaller jellyfish, you have ample space to dodge Hellifish's attacks and focus on dealing damage. Boons that increase damage against armored enemies will significantly accelerate the fight. Once the armor is broken, defeating Hellifish becomes straightforward.
