Spend less time on your phone with this simple trick

Tired of constantly checking your phone? Instead of switching between devices, forward the notification to your computer. With Windows and macOS, you can place your phone out of reach and focus on a larger screen—without worrying about missing dozens of missed calls and text messages. This is also a great way to stay in touch if you want to avoid viewing your phone at work.
Send Android phone notifications to Windows computer
Over time, Windows is becoming more and more suitable for mobile phones, especially on Android devices. Unfortunately, Apple's restriction on iOS access makes it difficult for others to enter the notification system. On iPhone, you can still perform some cool tricks with Windows 10, such as sending web pages from one device to another, but you can't sync notifications.
Therefore, we will focus on sending alerts from Android to devices running Windows 11. Open the Start menu, click Settings Gear, and select Bluetooth and Devices, and select Your Phone. Click to open your phone , a separate application that connects your handheld device to your PC, and then click to link a new device .
The pop-up wizard will ask you to download the companion app "Your Phone" on your Android phone. After the download is complete, select the check box next to I have installed your mobile app , and click to pair with QR code. Use your phone to scan the code displayed on your PC to allow your phone to access your Microsoft account. On your phone, Android will ask you to grant Windows app permissions, such as accessing your contact location, and when done, the link will be completed.
After the connection is complete, you can set up "Your Phone" to display your phone notifications, messages, and incoming calls on your PC, and even access your photos. Simply select the item on the left sidebar menu of the computer screen and follow the instructions. For notifications and incoming calls, Windows will ask you to do some extra work, such as pairing your device via Bluetooth or checking your phone and granting permissions - just checking the notifications and following the instructions. You can also control certain phone settings from your PC, such as turning Bluetooth on and off, turning up the volume of your handheld device, or enabling Do Not Disturb mode. The latest version of Windows also allows you to send links seamlessly between your devices. Simply open the link on your mobile browser and share it with the "Your Phone Companion App". Then, select the device you want to share and it will automatically turn on your computer. You can even turn off your phone notifications from your computer - just click the X button next to it and it will disappear from both devices. You can even link multiple devices to Microsoft Windows, which you can view by going back to the Your Phone app. If you want to cut off the connection between your phone and your computer at any time, open the notification drawer on Android (swipe one finger down from the top of the screen) and click the drop-down arrow on the left to open the connected to your computer notification. There, the Disconnect option will appear - click it to disconnect.
Send iPhone notifications to macOS computerAs you would expect from both Apple operating systems, macOS works seamlessly with iOS. So if you have an iPhone, you will be able to access some of the phones you need - laptop links right away. Thanks to a feature called "Continuous Intercommunication", calls, text messages and messages can be easily synchronized between iDevices. One downside: macOS's native features are only suitable for call and SMS alerts, not for other application notifications.
To make the call appear on your Mac, make sure you have the same iCloud and FaceTime account on both devices and you have WiFi turned on for both devices as well. On your iPhone, go to Settings, then go to
Phone, then go to Call on other devices, and turn on Allow calls on other devices. Next, go to your computer. Open FaceTime on macOS and select Preferences from the FaceTime menu. Then click Set and select the Calls from iPhone option. When your phone is nearby, plug in the same WiFi network and you will be able to see incoming calls and even answer them from your computer.
To get text messages, MMS, and message alerts on your Mac, sign in to iCloud on your phone and Mac again using the same Apple ID. Next, open Settings on your iPhone, selectMessage, and then click Send and Receive. Make sure you are using the correct Apple ID and then check your phone number and email address. Go to SMS Forwarding in the "Message" menu and select your Mac from the list. Finally, drop your iPhone and go to your computer. On macOS, open the Message application, and select Preferences from the Message menu, and click iMessage. Double-check that the correct Apple ID is used and then tick next to your email address and phone number. Like a call, you will be able to view alerts and reply to text messages.
Send Android notifications to macOS computer
If you have an iPhone, you don't have many options when connecting your handheld device to your computer. Android users can’t use macOS’s native features, but they can use third-party apps to bridge the gap, thus forwarding mobile phone alerts to Apple computers.
Pushbullet is available on Android and iOS, but only Android apps can mirror notifications. First download the Pushbullet to your phone and set it up on your computer. The easiest way to execute the latter is to download and install a browser extension for Chrome, Firefox, or Opera. Then, create a free Pushbullet account (or use your Google or Facebook account) and log in on all devices. On your Android phone, open the app, in the menu at the bottom of the screen, click Mirror , and then turn on the toggle next to Notification Mirror to get your phone alerts on your computer. If you want to try it, please click to send a test notification. If you want extra features, such as the ability to transfer larger files, consider buying a professional account – the price starts at $3.33 per month.
