In Monster Hunter Wilds, Dareel's research requires you to locate the elusive Gillopod. This guide reveals its hiding spot.

To find a Gillopod, head to Wyveria. These flat, blue arthropods are found on walls in high-energy areas, often near abundant Wylk.

The most reliable location is Wyveria Area 8, near the Gap in Rubble Pop-Up Camp. From the camp, retrace your steps along the narrow path, then turn right. Gillopods (and Pillopods) can be found on the wall to your right.

Gillopods are rarer than Pillopods. If you don't see one immediately, rest at the Pop-Up Camp using Guild Points, ensuring the region's conditions are set to 'Plenty'. They won't flee, so capture one at your leisure using the Capture Net.

Afterward, return to Dareel at the Windward Plains Base Camp to complete the research.
