Here's how to locate and capture a Sandstar:

The Sandstar, a small, blue, mouse-like creature resembling Pokémon's Azurill, only appears at night in Windward Plains, specifically near the Oasis Pop-Up Camp in Area 13. For consistent results, rest at your Pop-Up Camp until nighttime, ensuring "Plenty" conditions, then explore towards Area 16. Sandstars frequently appear near Flashflies in this zone. If you don't spot one, explore the area thoroughly; if it still eludes you, rest again until night and try again. Note: accidentally killing a Sandstar may delay its reappearance; consider exploring other biomes before returning.

Approaching a Sandstar directly will cause it to flee. Instead, use a Screamer Pod to stun it, then swiftly deploy your Capture Net before the stun wears off.

Successfully capturing the Sandstar grants the "I caught a Shooting Star!" achievement. Return to Samin at Windward Plains Base Camp to complete the mission.
