Of course, WinGetUI (now called UniGetUI) is still a good choice for those who want to access multiple package managers through a GUI similar to the app store. The PowerToys WinGet utility (which may be extended to other package managers) just provides a different, more integrated experience.

To be clear, WinGet is not some strange third-party app store. It is a tool for getting packages. For example, if you want to install Firefox, WinGet will get the installer from the Microsoft Store or Mozilla website. All Windows users can benefit from WinGet, which is why it is so important to expand accessibility and service users who are not familiar with the command line.

Microsoft has not yet provided a timeline for the release of this new package management tool. However, PowerToys is developing quite fast. We usually release a new version every month, so WinGet integration is probably coming soon.
