Dell launches new 75-inch 4K touch monitor: Dell Pro 75 Plus (P7525QT)

Dell has launched the new 75-inch 4K interactive touch monitor Pro 75 Plus (P7525QT), which will be available on March 27 for $4,000. This monitor is not exclusive to corporate customers and can be purchased by anyone.

From a practical point of view, any old TV or projector can be used for business presentations, slideshows, or remote meetings. The biggest selling point of the P7525QT is its touch screen input and computer connection function. You can browse documents or slideshows by swiping on the P7525QT, write on the monitor like a whiteboard with the included stylus, connect to your computer via a variety of video cables, including a daisy-chained DisplayPort, and video conferencing with the included Dell Pro Micro video support. There is also a Dell Screen Drop feature that moves content from the top of the screen to the bottom, meaning nothing goes beyond your view.

This monitor is not a complete clone of its predecessor. It features a brand new monochrome base and a redesigned remote (in my opinion, it's actually worse than the previous one). It also provides more convenient access to USB-C DP video input, and strangely, Dell seems to have moved the monitor's handle to an inconvenient location. Last year's model handle is on top.

I doubt there will be no many consumers interested in buying this $4,000 LCD commercial monitor. But if you really need something like this, just buy a TV and connect it to your computer. All 4K TVs have the same pixel count, regardless of screen size, so I recommend skipping the 75-inch model unless you plan to sit at least four or five feet away – they look bad when viewed up close. A smaller 43-inch or 48-inch 4K TV gives you a higher pixel density and should look sharp at a viewing distance of two to three feet.
