In Monster Hunter: The Wilderness, scarabs are a unique creature with a very long lifespan. According to the game monster picture records, they have survived in this world for 1,000 years. One of the best places to find scarabs in the wind direction plains (which also has herbivorous shells) is the valley between the 16th and 17th zones . You can equip insect trapping nets to catch scarabs. In the lower right corner of the screen, you will see a small menu. Press and hold the left shoulder button and scroll through the items using the square/X or circle/B buttons. After selecting the insect trap net, press the block/X key to equip it.

The perfect spot for finding scarabs in the scarlet forest is Area 16 . You can get to this location by a quick trip to Area 17 Campground and jump from a large gap near a narrow alley.

Check out the stumps in this area. One is located east of some feces (which can be used to make useful feces bombs), close to the weathered ruins of its south. Opposite this site, up a rocky hillside, you will see another scarab, with its blue shell attached to some vines.

Looking to the right, there is another scarab on the vine opposite. From this location, climb the first rock wall upwards and look to the right. You will see another scarab on a tree, near a vine bridge that extends upwards. The last scarab in this particular area is on the right after the bridge climbs upwards. You will see scarab crawling on the stone wall near the waterfall.
