Necessary Evil KCD2 Quest Guide and Walkthrough | Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

The main mission of "Tears of Kingdoms" "Evil Necessary" follows closely behind "Return to the Saddle". Henry and Hans Kapong were ordered to interrogate a prisoner and hunt down the culprit of the ambush, a group of robbers. Your choice will determine whether you attack Semine Manor or Nebakov Fortress.

Step 1: Interrogate the prisoner

• Talk to Kapeng and head to the torture room.

• You can choose to threaten, persuade or torture prisoners.

• After success, you will learn:

  • The identity of the robber leader
  • The degree to which Eastfan Toss participates in the event
  • Alda Semine's role in the ambush

  • "We will say a few good words for you." (Impression 20)
  • "I met Eastfan and I old." (Impression 20)

Step 2: Report to Von Bogao (major choice!)

After interrogating the prisoner, you need to report to Otto von Boggau. Things will get tricky here.

• Accusing Semine → Attack Semine Manor
• Claiming the robbers were acting alone → Attacking Nebakov Fortress

Your choice will change the subsequent development of the task.

Option A: Attack Semine (if you accused him)

• Von Bogao ordered an attack on Semine.

• Join the soldiers quickly – if you fall behind, everyone at Semine Manor will die.

• Go to Semine with Hans Kapong and Bergrave Hasek.

• At Semine Manor you have to decide:

  • Support Hasek → Help burn the estate and kill Semine's men.
  • Protect Semine → Confront Hasek and his soldiers.

• If you help Semine, you have to lie to von Bergao to ensure his safety.

Option B: Attack Nebakov (if you believe Semine is innocent)

• Von Bergot will order a directive to attack Nebakov Fortress.
• This will skip the entire Semini battle and advance the plot directly.
• There is no major moral dilemma here- it's just a battle.

Step 3: Return to Trosky Castle

• Return to Von Bogao to report the situation.
• You can choose to remain silent and let Hans Kapeng speak on his behalf or tell the truth.
• If all goes well, you will be invited to the dinner.

Warning: This is the key point of the story. If you want to do side quests, complete "Trosky's Demon" before heading to the dinner.

Task results

Attack Semine & Support Hasek → Everyone who lives in Semine Manor will be killed. Attack Semine & Support Semine → Fight with Hasek's men & help Semine escape. Attack Nebakov → Skip the Semine conflict altogether.

Final Tips

• Want to experience the battle? Accuse Semine and choose one side in the battle.
• Want to get a simpler result? Let Semine out and attack Nebakov.
• If you want to help Semine, don't fall behind on your way to Semine's estate—or his entire estate will be burned.
