Whether starting a business or pursuing hobbies, Sims will always have engaging activities, even with long lifespans. A key addition is hobby meetups – a fun way to socialize, explore new interests, and revisit old passions.

Hobby meetups are held in Nordhaaven's Gammelvik and Iverstad neighborhoods. To participate, travel to either neighborhood at specific times and days. Meetups begin automatically at scheduled times. Simply visiting any lot in either neighborhood grants access. Public plazas, near wooden kiosks selling food and goods, are the meetup locations. Consider visiting a small business lot in the area for added exploration.

There are no prerequisites for attending; all Sims are welcome, regardless of skill level or profession. Meetups gather around a permanent sign near market kiosks, often identifiable by Sims congregating with relevant skill items (pottery wheels, kilns, etc.). The sign glows during a meetup; hover over it to see the meetup name. Interact with available items, socialize, or use the sign to join.

If a meetup is already in progress, locate a group of Sims outdoors. Hovering over them reveals their names; a "Meetup Attendee" label confirms participation.

Alternatively, use the meetup sign. When a meetup is active, select the sign and choose "Check Current Meetup." This displays a summary, including a "Walk To Meetup" option to guide your Sim to the gathering. This method only works for active meetups.

What are Hobby Meetups?

Hobby meetups are social gatherings where Sims improve skills. Seven meetups focus on different skills and run on a set schedule. They're free to join and function similarly to festivals in other game worlds, offering a daily calendar of events. They provide cost-effective skill development and potential money-making opportunities through crafting and sales.

Using the Hobby Meetup Sign

The sign in Gammelvik and Iverstad provides several interactions: checking the next meetup, viewing all meetups, and managing notifications. The sign glows during meetups; "Check Current Meetup" displays details. Hovering also shows current meetup information.

"Meetup Information" lists all weekly meetups, showing details and schedules. "Check Next Meetup" shows upcoming events.

Managing Meetup Notifications

Nordhaaven requires opting into event reminders. Interact with the Meetup Information sign and select "Meetup Notifications." This sub-menu lets you individually enable/disable notifications for each meetup or toggle them all at once. Enabled notifications show a green tick; disabled show a red cross.

Enabled notifications appear in the top-right notification wall when meetups begin.
