Assassin's Creed Shadows - The Wounded Assassination Guide

In Assassin's Creed Shadows, after a lengthy prologue, Naoe embarks on a quest to assassinate eleven enigmatic figures. The first two targets serve as a tutorial, exclusively playable as Naoe. This guide details the assassination of the first target, The Wounded.

The Fatherless Monk

To begin, select "The Wounded" from the objectives menu. This unlocks "The Fatherless Monk" mission, located south of Sakai. Use scouts to pinpoint the starting location (or refer to the map above).

The Killing Field

This stage takes place in Nanatsumatsu (marked on the map). Naoe will note the need to eliminate the executioner discreetly to avoid harming prisoners. Stealth is optional; attracting his attention suffices.

The Executioner is a heavy Samurai with high health, relying on heavy attacks. Dodge and parry effectively, focusing on counter-attacks. Neutralize surrounding enemies strategically to avoid being overwhelmed. Completing this unlocks uncommon headgear and the next mission, "Stolen Faith."

Stolen Faith

Locate Mitsumune (map above) at a camp near Nunobiki Falls. He requests a lost statue.

Find the statue near the Senri Hills Synchronization Point, in Toneyama Post Town. A heavily guarded area (indicated by a heavy enemy with a mace) holds the statue. Rooftop observation aids in locating the building near a fire pit (pictured above).

Return the statue to Mitsumune to proceed to the final assassination.

Heads Will Roll

The final stage is a siege at Amagasaki Castle (marked on the map).

Eliminate snipers at the gates (easily spotted by using the targeting mechanic). Koretaka, in the courtyard, is identifiable through targeting. A stealth approach, luring him with a whistle, is recommended for a swift assassination.

A cutscene follows; choose to forgive the enemy to gain Yaya's favor. The reward is the legendary Kusarigama, Death Whisperer, unlocking a powerful new weapon and skill tree.
