In Kaiserpunk, once your industrial city is booming, global domination (or at least a significant chunk of it) likely beckons. Given the prevalence of oceans and the possibility of an island starting location, naval invasions become crucial.

While the tutorial's third chapter introduces troop transports, vital details are omitted. Before launching beach assaults, heed this advice.

Adding Landing Ships and Carriers to Naval Fleets

Each World Map navy can be upgraded with either Landing Ships (for land armies) or Carriers (for air squadrons), but not both. Combined air and ground assaults require at least two fleets.

Upgrades are added by selecting the navy, then clicking the diamond-plus icon in the upper-right of its info panel. Sufficient resources are required.

Upgrade Costs

These upgrades are expensive:

• Landing Ships: 100 Machine Guns, 100 Bombs (15-day build time).
• Carriers: 200 Machine Guns, 200 Bombs (25-day build time).

Bombs are readily available from Munitions Factories, but Machine Guns are scarce. They require Military Development rank 13, a significant hurdle. Trading for them necessitates substantial military goods and secure trade routes.

Island nations (Britain, Japan, Australia, etc.) should prioritize market interaction and aggressive trading for Military Development points to unlock Machine Gun production; otherwise, troops remain stranded.

Loading and Unloading Troops

Once upgraded, loading units is simple: move them onto the navy's location from an adjacent land region. Air squadrons have a two-region range from their airfield.

Loaded units are selectable at the screen bottom, allowing upgrades, reinforcements, or return to land. Preemptively attacking defending armies is recommended before disembarking.
