How to Unlock Your Hideout in Path of Exile 2

In Path of Exile 2 (PoE2) a hideout is a special space just for you. You can set up tools, make farming easier, and get away from noisy towns. Here’s how to unlock hideouts:

1. Find a Hideout Node

  • Look for the Icon: While completing tier 4 quests or maps, you might see a special hideout icon on a map.

  • Go to the Node: Click on the node with the hideout icon to enter.

2. Clear the Hideout

  • Defeat All Monsters: Inside the hideout node, you’ll find about 50 monsters. Defeat all of them.

  • Claim the Hideout: Once the area is clear, you’ll unlock the hideout and make it your own.

3. Use Your Hideout

  • Travel to It: Go to any Waypoint and click the "Travel to Hideout" button. You can now enter your hideout whenever you want.

  • Choose Between Hideouts: If you unlock more hideouts later, you can switch between them from the Waypoint.

4. Why Use a Hideout?

  • Set Up Tools: Place crafting tools, a map device, and other useful stations close together for faster farming.

  • Peaceful Space: Your hideout is quieter than towns. No more pets or flashy effects getting in the way!

There are four hideouts in the game: Canal Hideout, Felled Hideout, Limestone Hideout, and Shrine Hideout. A fifth hideout, the Dreadnaught Hideout, is only available if you purchase the $100 Lord of Faridun Early Access Supporter Pack. Hideouts can be accessed anytime from the world map screen by pressing the U key on PC and selecting the blue icon on the right side of the map.
