Cathie Wood met with President Bukele in May to discuss the future of digital assets and AI policy in El Salvador, including potential education initiatives tailored by Ark Invest.

In a post on X at the time, she added:
"I am honored to have met with the President of El Salvador today to discuss the future of digital assets and AI policy in this beautiful country, and how Ark Invest can help tailor unique educational initiatives for the next generation of Salvadorans."
At the time, on his part, President Bukele noted that they had a "great conversation about the future of humanity."
He added that they were also discussing the possibility of Ark Invest creating "unique programs" for Salvadorans.
"We talked about the importance of using technology to improve people's lives and how we can work together to create a better future for all," the president stated.
The post was accompanied by a photo of him with Wood and economist Art Laffer, who serves as a special advisor to President Bukele on economic matters.
The meeting between President Bukele and Musk took place in September at the president's residence, according to a post on X by the president of the Central American country.
