Assassin's Creed Shadows: How To Fully Train An Ally
Assassin's Creed: Shadow Allies Recruitment and Training Guide
Assassin's Creed Shadow has a number of compelling characters, including six recruitable allies. To complete the game 100% you need to recruit these six allies and raise them to the highest level.
Training your first ally will receive achievements/trophies, and more achievements/trophies will be earned during the training process. Training allies is also of great benefit, especially in tough battles, which can be very useful.
How to recruit allies
The recruitment methods and timing of the six allies in Assassin's Creed: Shadows are different. You can view allies you have interacted with by the "Target" tab in the Pause menu. Your allies and other characters associated with your hiding place (such as Tomiko and Junjiro) are all displayed in the "Affiliate" circle. You can choose any six allies to unlock the Team Leader trophy/achievement, but this guide will focus on Yaya as she is the first ally you meet in the game.
To train Yaya, you first need to recruit her by completing the "Lost Dog" mission, which can be started after completing the first scene of Assassin's Creed: Shadow. If you choose the right dialogue option in this mission (forgive the lives of the mercenaries and encourage Yaya to forgive Tetsuo), you will have the opportunity to recruit Yaya as an ally, which you are highly recommended.
If Yaya is the first ally to complete the mission, you will receive the "Build Your Alliance" Bronze Trophy/Achievement.
How to train allies
After recruiting the first ally, you need to train it to the highest level (veteran). To train allies, your hiding place needs to have a dojo, which you can build by pressing the “Improve your hiding place” prompt or heading to the table in the left corner of the back of the main building of the Hiroma. Dojo is not cheap; you need 350 crops, 260 pieces of wood and 90 minerals to buy one.
Level 1 Dojo allows you to train allies to reach initial level, but you need to upgrade the Dojo to Level 3 to get this trophy/achievement. This means you will need to spend an additional 1170 crops, 870 timber and 290 minerals to upgrade the dojo.
Gather resources in Assassin's Creed: Shadow
There are many ways to quickly get resources and money in Assassin’s Creed Shadow, but the most straightforward way is to trade with port merchants at any major settlement on the map. They usually have a lot of crops, wood and minerals for sale, but this will cost you a lot of won, making it even more difficult to train allies after you build and upgrade the dojo.
However, you can sell some crafting materials to get Korean won because these materials are not needed in this part of the game.
Alternatively, you can complete commissioned tasks in your hiding place (Kakurega). While these missions are usually not rewarded a lot, they usually occur at enemy bases, and you can plunder a lot of resources after defeating them. You usually have to choose only three quests, but they refresh each season, meaning you never have to wait too long to get more quests.
