If there’s one thing that Ubisoft does well with their multitude of franchises, it's creating dense environments filled with exploration. Assassin’s Creed Shadows is no different, as the vast world the studio has created is ripe for adventure. Whether it’s the various unique enemies you’ll come across on your adventures or investigating reported Yokai in the area, there feels like an overwhelming amount of content to dig your teeth into.
One such activity is participating in the numerous temples and shrines. Japan is a country of tradition and religion, at least back in the 1500s when Assassin’s Creed Shadows takes place. If you’ve ever been to the country, you’ll know that the number of temples and shrines feels infinite, and in Shadows, it’s well represented with some of the most iconic structures in the Kansai region.
Purpose of Temples & Shrines
With each of the temples and shrines, there will either be lost pages that need collecting or shrines that need to be prayed to. Doing so will unlock a good amount of EXP along with a Knowledge point that can be used to upgrade Nao and Yasuke. Some of these locations have surprisingly well-hidden collectibles, but with this guide you’ll have no problem finding them.
The Daikichiji Temple is found near the Omi region of Japan. It is located all the way in the furthest northeast portion of the map.
Lost Page Locations
Lost Page #1
The Lost Pages of Daikichiji Temple are a little all over the place as this temple is surprisingly large. On the map, it doesn’t look like much, but it goes up a hill, so there’s a very large emphasis on verticality. Unfortunately for the temple, it is in ruins, but that makes it a little easier to find the Lost Pages. The first page you can find is halfway up the stairs. Move past the woman praying to the shrine and up to the left. There will be a broken-down building and inside to the right there will be the first of two Lost Pages to find.
Lost Page #2
Despite its size, Daikichiji Temple doesn’t have a lot of collectibles to find, but the second page is a little tricky to find. Head to the main temple and go all the way to the back of it. There will be a tree overlooking a waterfall and a large cliff drop downward. There are the standard yellow indicators on the tree, showing you’re able to climb the tree. Hop on up, and you will find the second Lost Page at the end of the tree branch.
