The quest line of Brad in the Eilden Far Ring is intertwined with several other important characters and activities, and depending on where you head first, it’s easy to miss out on important parts of it.

How to start Brad's mission

Like most things in the Elden Ring of Far, starting Brad’s mission is a bit vague. To meet this werewolf for the first time, you need to head to the ruins of the Mist Forest (northeast of the Waypoint Ruins) and watch out for the howling of the wolf. However, you can skip this step and start Lani's quest (intertwined with Brad's quest).

Afterwards, return to the Irey Church in Linde Woods and talk to the merchant Kalai. He will tell you about Brad and teach you the “fing finger” gesture.

Return to the ruins of the Mist Forest, summon Brad using the "fing finger" gesture, he rests at the highest point of the ruins.

If you haven't defeated Darrywell, he will explain his relationship with the Blood Hunter Knight and send you to the Abandoned Hound Eternal Prison. After that, or if you have beaten him, talk to Brad in the Ruins twice again.

For the first time, you will get a bleak forged stone. The second time, he will tell you to look for the blacksmith Igi on the way to Lienia’s manor to Kalia. Doing so will unlock the Caglia finely-sealed emblem of the blacksmith shop.

How to continue Brad's mission?

From here, Brad's mission is combined with Rani's mission in Elden's Ring of Far. After Lani summons Brad at Lani's lift (where you first met the Snow Witch), you need to meet him near the Siphra River, near the Holy Horn (where the Dead Deer is). Talk to him until there is no new conversation, then head to the lifting platform in Cerrovis and talk to Cerrovis.

Now you need to start the Red Mane Festival and challenge Radagang at Red Mane Castle in Kelid. Use NPC summons to make combat easier.

He will stay there until you complete Lani's mission, after which he will appear and fight you at Lani's lift. Defeating him can get his giant sword and armor and cannot cancel the attack on Brad.

Depending on when you reach certain milestones, Lani and Brad's mission progress will vary. We outline some known path differences below.

If you start the Red Mane Festival, you will automatically skip the first part of the Lani and Brad quest. Only after you defeat Radagan can you advance or start Rani's mission. Brad's mission will jump to the point where he was imprisoned. In Lani's mission, you'll also encounter Brad's Ghost Invader version, but that's not related to Brad's mission line.

You can automatically trigger the Red Mane Festival outside of the Lani mission by using the Dirktus Grand Elevator or resting at the Blessings of the Eltus Plateau. If you do this, Brad will defeat all enemies in the castle, and the gates of the castle will be locked after the festival and you will rest until the blessing place.
