关于PHP的相对路径的引用问题

在w3cschool里面看到php中相对路径中上一级目录的表示应该../，但是我现在在写的时候用../就报错，用./就可以正常回到上一级。想知道这个问题到底是什么原因。求大神帮助。

./ 表示当前目录，说明你的文件在当前目录下。
