Composite attributes, see below for each attribute.

Must contain both font-size and font-family, and the order of these two values ​​cannot be changed. The values ​​of other keywords are placed in front of these two values, and the order can be disrupted at will.

You can put an optional line-height value (line-height) on the font-size value (font-size) as some kind of subsidiary value of the font size, which must be followed by font-family.


font-style:normal | italic | oblique

normal: Specify the text font style as a normal font.

italic: Specifies the text font style to be italic. For special fonts that are not designed with italics, oblique will be applied if an italic look is to be used.

oblique: Specifies the text font style to be an oblique font. Artificially italicize text instead of selecting the italics in the font.

Note: The difference between italic and oblique is really not visible, at least not in the Chrom browser.


font-variant: normal | small-caps

normal: normal font.

small-caps: Small uppercase font.


font-weight: normal | bold | bolder | lighter |

normal : Normal font. Equivalent to number 400.

bold: Bold. Equivalent to number 700.

bolder: extra bold. It is also equivalent to the role of strong and b objects.

lighter: thin body.

: Use numbers to represent text font thickness. Value range: 100 | 200 | 300 | 400 | 500 | 600 | 700 | 800 | 900.


font-size: | | |

: Adjust according to the object font. Optional parameter values: xx-small | x-small | small | medium | large | x-large | xx-large. Using medium as the basic reference, xx-small is equivalent to medium 3/5 (h6), x-small: 3/4, small: 8/9 (h5), medium: 1 (h4), large: 6/5 (h3 ), x-large: 3/2 (h2), xx-large: 2/1 (h1).

: Relative adjustment relative to the font size in the parent object. Calculated using proportional em units. Optional parameter values: smaller | larger.

: Use the length value to specify the text size. Negative values ​​are not allowed.

: Specify text size in percentage. The percentage value is based on the size of the font in the parent object. Negative values ​​are not allowed.


font-family: [ | ] [, | < ;generic-family>]*

: Font name. In order of priority. Separate with commas. If the font name contains spaces or Chinese characters, it should be enclosed in quotation marks.

: font sequence name.


font-stretch: ultra-condensed | extra-condensed | condensed | semi-condensed | normal | semi-expanded | expanded | extra-expanded | ultra-expanded

ultra-condensed: 4 bases narrower than normal text width.

extra-condensed: 3 bases narrower than normal text width.

condensed: 2 bases narrower than the normal text width.

semi-condensed: 1 base narrower than normal text width.

normal: Normal text width.

semi-expanded: 1 base wider than normal text width.

expanded: 2 bases wider than the normal text width.

extra-expanded: 3 bases wider than the normal text width.

ultra-expanded: 4 bases wider than normal text width.


But even if it is supported, the display effect is no different from normal text.
