I have been learning HTML these days. I want to know whether to use Notepad or Dreamweaver to write in the beginning. The latter seems to be more complicated and has many functions but I don’t know how to use it.

Use a text editor for beginners, such as Nodepad editplus.
If you know how to use a text editor, Dreamweaver is of course not a problem, and you can also adjust and optimize the code in Dreamweaver.
Dreamweaver can’t even use text editors.

Generally speaking, for beginners, it is better to be as simple as possible and easy to get started.

Starting on hard mode can easily discourage beginners.

I recommend using Dreamweaver for the first time since it is easier to get started.

Use EditPlus. Highlight code typesetting. It is best for novices to use this one without prompt function. Practice makes perfect. Write a few more pages to get familiar with it and then change it.
