Install and configure Memcached for PHP 5.3 on win system with graphic tutorial

How to make php support memcached on windows system?

Step one: Install Memcached service
Step 2: Let php load the memcached.dll extension

Reference the following information:
1. Installing Memcached for PHP 5.3 on Windows 7
2. Memcache installation and configuration under Windows + Memcached was not loaded successfully

The detailed steps are as follows:

Step one: Install Memcached service

1. Download Memcached Win32 (click here to download)

2. Unzip the downloaded file to a custom directory, such as (C: webservermemcached)
After decompression, there is only one memcached.exe in this directory

3. Run the command line (cmd) with administrator privileges

4. Installation

The code is as follows:

memcached -d install

Tip: If you get an error that MSVCP71.dll does not exist, visit here (poke me)

5. Start

The code is as follows:

memcached -d start

6. Check the installation path (you can ignore it)

The code is as follows:

wmic process get description, executablepath | findstr memcached.exe

Display:
memcached.exe C:webservermemcachedmemcached.exe

Here, the memcached service is installed

Step 2: Let php load the memcached.dll extension

1. Download the VC9 version of memcached.dll
Thread safe version
http://downloads.php.net/pierre/php_memcache-2.2.6-5.3-vc9-x86.zip
Non-thread-safe version of fastcgi’s way of running php
http://downloads.php.net/pierre/php_memcache-2.2.6-5.3-nts-vc9-x86.zip

2. Unzip php_memcache.dll and copy it to the php extension directory C: webserverphp5.3ntsext

3. Edit php.ini and add

at the bottom

The code is as follows:

[memcache]
extension=php_memcache.dll
;A high-performance distributed memory object cache system that maintains a unified huge hash table in memory,
; It can be used to store data in various formats, including images, videos, files, and database search results.
; Whether to transparently fail over to other servers when errors are encountered.
memcache.allow_failover = 0
;The maximum number of servers to try when receiving and sending data, only valid when memcache.allow_failover is turned on.
memcache.max_failover_attempts = 20
;Data will be transferred according to the block size set by this value. Smaller values require more additional network traffic.
; If you notice unexplained slowdowns, you can try increasing this value to 32768.
memcache.chunk_size = 8192
;The default TCP port used when connecting to the memcached server.
memcache.default_port = 11211
;Control the strategy of mapping keys to servers. The default value "standard" means to use the old hash strategy of the previous version.
;Set to "consistent" to allow adding/removing servers from the connection pool without having to recalculate the mapping between keys and servers.
memcache.hash_strategy = "consistent"
;Control the hash function that maps keys to servers. The default value "crc32" uses the CRC32 algorithm, while "fnv" means the FNV-1a algorithm is used.
;FNV-1a is slightly slower than CRC32, but has better hashing performance.
memcache.hash_function = "crc32"
;See the above [session]
for the following 2 settings ; When the value is memcache, mark the use of memcache as the session processor
;session.save_handler = "files"
;Define the delimiter for each server link used for call storage, for example: "tcp://host1:11211, tcp://host2:11211"
; Each server link can contain parameters accepted by that server, similar to servers added using Memcache::addServer()
;For example: "tcp://host1:11211?persistent=1&weight=1&timeout=1& amp;retry_interval=15"
;session.save_path = ""

4. Restart IIS (run from command line)

The code is as follows:

iisreset /restart

At this point, memcached configuration is completed
