I want to give a complete explanation of Laravel, so here I will explain the installation process of Laravel on Windows.
I won’t talk about Linux.
The first thing we need to do is install our Composer package manager.
Go to our official website.
https://getcomposer.org/Composer-Setup.exe
This is our installation package on Windows. Just go to next to install it.
At the same time, we can also install it through the windows command line tool.
<code class=" language-bash">php -r "readfile('https://getcomposer.org/installer');" | php</code>
One thing to note here is that if your php does not have openssl extension enabled, it is best to enable it. Or try changing https to http.
Of course, the premise is that your computer has already installed php, such as xampp or wamp.Just enter php in the command line without error.
After the installation is complete, let’s try it. Enter composer directly in the command line,
If composer’s command line help appears, the installation is successful.
Why do we need to install the composer package manager? Because laravel downloaded from the official website does not have a vender directory.
In fact, what is stored in the vendor is the dependency package laravel/framework of our laravel framework. These things can be passed to us
Download from the packagelist website.
Let’s start with installing laravel. There are many ways to install laravel. You can download it through git clone
We can also download it from the official website of laravel. Or we can directly search for the laravel open source code on github, and then click to download the zip package and decompress it. Here I will download it directly from the official website.
After the download is completed, unzip it to the updated directory of our server.
I am using xampp. So I put the laravel folder under our htdoc directory.
Then enter the laravel directory through the command line tool. Mine is: T:xampphtdoclaravel
Then enter the command composer install
Now we can automatically install our vendor. Regarding composer, I introduced it in a previous blog post.
composer --php package management tool
After the installation is complete, we can directly enter
in the browserlocalhost/laravel/public You can see our laravel welcome interface.
Okay. I’m a little tired today. Let’s just write it here.
Whatever is worth doing is worth doing well.
Best Wishes.
