phpMyAdmin Cannot start session without errors error solution_PHP tutorial
Environment: linux, apache2, php5
Problem: The following error occurred when opening phpmyadmin:
Cannot start session without errors, please check errors given in your PHP and/or webserver log file and configure your PHP installation properly.
The solution is as follows:
vim /etc/php5/apache2/php.ini
Look for session.save_path and remove the comment symbol in the sentence session.save_path=/var/lib/php5.
If it still doesn’t work properly, change the value of session.auto_start to 1 (start), the default is 0 (disable)
This error is usually caused by the storage path of the session file being unwritable. Under Linux, it is usually a permission issue with the path. Under Windows, session.save_path must be set to a path that can be read and written, such as D:/tmp, etc.
