Install PHP 4.0 on Win 98+PWS_PHP Tutorial
Nowadays, network technology is at its peak, with CGI (Common Gateway Interface) and ASP (Active Serve Page) coming out, and then PHP (see later note), which is really confusing. The emergence of these new software not only brings us a new experience, but also brings problems to how to play these software on machines with lower configurations. This article uses my own experience to explain how to play with lower configurations of machines. Install PHP4.0 software.
My "love chicken" configuration is: Lenovo Tianqin 909's modified product: MMX166 is replaced by K6Ⅱ-400, the memory is still 32 megabytes, and the motherboard core voltage jumps to 2.2V...
The software only requires Windows 98 + PWS (Personal Web Server). NT, LINUX, and Win 2000 do not need to be installed. The installation process is as follows:
1. You can install PWS from add-onspwssetup.exe on the installation disk of Windows 98 (official version or OEM version), choose typical installation or customized installation, and use the default installation directory C:Inetpubwwwroot( Complete the grand project of transforming a single machine into a server).
2. Software download: http://www.php.net/distributions/php-4.0.0-Win32.zip or http://soft.km169.net/soft/wybc/php-4.0 .0-win32.zip!
3. Use the decompression tool to decompress php-4.0.0-Win32.zip to the PHP installation directory, such as C:php (don’t say you don’t have WinZip)!
4 , Copy the php.ini-dist file in the PHP installation directory to the C:WINDOWS directory, and rename C:WINDOWSphp.ini-dist to C:WINDOWSphp.ini;
5. Copy the Msvcrt. dll and php4ts.dll are copied to the C:WINDOWSSystem directory. If these files already exist in the C:WINDOWSSystem directory, please do not overwrite them (check if there is Msvcrt.dll in advance);
6. Modify C:WINDOWSphp.ini:
1) Set Extension_dir to the PHP installation directory, such as: extension_dir =C:php (look left and right in php.ini to find it);
2) Configure the dynamic link library (DLL) to be loaded , be sure to ensure that only dynamic link libraries existing in the PHP installation directory can be loaded. If there are different dynamic link library names, please change them to those that come with this version: php_calendar.dll, php_imap.dll, php_ldap. dll, so the configuration column of the dynamic link library is as follows (be sure to remove the ;):
Windows Extensions
extension=php_calendar.dll
extension=php_imap.dll
