Before developing PHP language, the development environment needs to be properly configured so that our program can run perfectly. So, how to correctly configure the PHP development environment? This article will introduce the download, installation and configuration of Apache, MySql, and PHP, and describe the establishment of development environments in Windows and Linux environments respectively.
1. Download Apache, MySql and PHP
1. Download Apache
The Apache server can download the Apache installation program for Windows through the official mirror address, but It's in English, and the download speed is too slow. I recommend that you go to Huajun, Sky or Zhongguancun to download the latest version of the installation program, which is very fast.
2. Download MySQL
The official website of MySQL is http://www.mysql.com. You can download the latest version of MySQL. Again, I suggest you download it from Huajun, Tiantian or Zhongguancun.
3. Download of PHP
The official website of PHP is http://www.php.net. The latest version can be downloaded.
2. Configure the PHP development environment under windows
1. The installation of Apache, MySql and PHP is like installing other software in windows. It is recommended to install the Apache and PHP software in the D drive directory. , install the MySQL software on the C drive, so that MySQL can start and run smoothly without any settings.
2. Configure the development environment
In order to allow windows to execute PHP, further work needs to be done. Follow the following steps to set up the environment:
1) In the PHP installation directory , find the file php5ts.dll, and copy it to the system32 directory on the C drive.
2) In the PHP installation directory, find the file libmysql.dll and copy it to the system32 directory on the C drive.
3) In the PHP installation directory, find the file php.ini and copy it to C:windows. This file is the basic file for configuring PHP. For example, to set the server root directory configuration, use a text editor to open the php.ini file and find "doc_root=". Because I installed Apache in the root directory of the D drive by default, modify this configuration. The value of the item is: doc_root=d:apache2htdocs
Tip: Users can modify the value of this configuration item according to the path where they installed Apache.
4) Find "extension_dir ="./"" in php.ini. This configuration item is used to load the PHP extension module. Modify the configuration item as follows: extension_dir = d:phpext, (need to press Modify the PHP loading location in your own installation directory).
5) Find ";extension=php_mysql.dll" in php.ini and remove the semicolon in front of this item to make this item effective. This configuration item is used to enable PHP to support MySQL. The semicolon here serves as a comment. After modifying the PHP configuration file php.ini, save and exit the file.
6) Configure Apache. Go to the conf directory under the Apache installation directory and open the Apache configuration file http.conf with a text editor. Find dynamic shared object (DOS) Support in this file, and add the following configuration item at the end of the LoadModule line: LoadModule php5_module d:/php/php5apache2.dll (you need to modify the PHP loading location according to your own installation directory). This item is to load the PHP module php5apache2.dll through Apache, that is, PHP runs as a module of Apache.
7) In order for Apache to support files with the .php suffix, find the AddType item in http.conf and add the following configuration item at the end: AddType application/x-httpd-php.php. Find directoryIndex and add index.php at the end. In order to support Chinese, find AddDefaultCharset ISO-8859-1 and change it to AddDefaultCharset GB2312. Save http.conf after modification. This completes the basic configuration of Apache.
Note: It is strongly recommended that when modifying the Apache configuration file http.conf, you must abide by the principle of modifying a little and testing a little, that is, after each modification and saving http.conf, you must restart Apache. If If Apache starts normally, you can make subsequent modifications. Otherwise, it means that the modification is wrong. Please check carefully and modify it again.
3. Configure the PHP development environment under Linux
1. Installation of MySQL
Download the MySQL installation file MySQL-server-4.0.20-0 from the MySQL official website .i386.rpm, execute the following command to complete the installation of MySQL.
rpm -ivh MySQL-server-4.0.20-0.i386.rpm
Without setting a MySQL password, use the following command to test whether MySQL is installed successfully.
mysql -u root
If something like welcome to the mysql mointor. commands end with; or g appears, the installation is successful.
2. Installation of Apache
Download the UNIX version of the compressed package from the official website of Apache, taking httpd-2.0.52.tar.gz as an example, assuming that the resource package is placed in /usr/local /src, enter this directory and decompress, the command is as follows:
cd /usr/local/src
tar -zxvf httpd-2.0.52.tar.gz
After decompression, enter the directory httpd-2.0.52 and execute the following command:
./configure --prefix=/usr/local/apache2 --enable--module=so
Among them, --prefix=/usr/local/apache2 is used to specify the installation directory of Apache. Next, compile and execute the following commands to complete the installation.
Make
mae install
3. Configure the installation of PHP development environment
1) Download the compression of php5.1.4.tar.gz from the PHP official website package, decompress the file package, the command is as follows:
tar -zxf php5.1.4.tar.gz
2) Go to the decompressed directory and execute the following command to complete the PHP installation directory Other related configurations:
./configure --prefix=/usr/local/php -with-mysql=/var/lib/mysql
3) Then compile PHP, the command is as follows:
make
make install
4) Copy the file in the current directory to the lib directory of the PHP installation directory and rename it to php.ini. The command is as follows:
cp php.ini-dist /usr/local/php/lib/php.ini
5) After the above configuration of the PHP development environment is installed, refer to the configuration content under windows for relevant configuration and configuration Items and configuration methods are similar.
