Must-see: If you have installed the IIS server, please go to:
"Start—> Programs—> Management Tools—> Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager—> Website"
Stop all websites. Otherwise, Apache will fail to start. If you have already configured a PHP environment, to avoid repeated errors, please uninstall all related software first: Apache, PHP, MySQL, phpMyadmin, because Appserv already comes with these things.
Configuring the PHP environment with Appserv is as easy as installing games normally, so don’t be too nervous. Okay, let’s stop talking and start configuring the PHP environment with Appserv. Double-click to run the downloaded software: Appserv-win32-2.5.7.exe
Ignore the welcome interface and click Next
Select the installation directory as you like. It is recommended not to install on the C drive
Select the installation method, it is recommended to use the default method, just click Next
There is no need to change it here, just click Next
Mysql users Set the name, password, and character set yourself
Start the installation
Tick them all (start Apache and MySQL) and click Close
Finished? It's over. Finished? It’s over! It's that simple, what else do you want? Apache, PHP, MySQL, phpMyadmin are all available. Go to your installation directory and take a look. If nothing else, there should be four folders:
Apache2.2 —— Apache server directory
PHP —— PHP directory
MySQL —— MySQL Directory
www —— Website directory (used to install your PHP program, phpMyadmin is also in it, because it is also a PHP program)
Okay, the PHP environment is configured like this, okay? Is it easier than manually configuring it yourself? hehe. Appserv configuration is very convenient for beginners, but entry-level people are advised to use manual configuration. First, you can understand some basic knowledge; second, integrated software such as Appserv still has many shortcomings and is not as sound as manual configuration. Our current purpose is only development, not service, so using Appserv is enough.
OK, open the browser and enter http://localhost or http://127.0.0.1. If you can open the following web page, it means that your installation is successful. I wish you good luck!
By the way, what are the first two links on this page used for:
phpMyAdmin Database Manager Version 2.9.0.2 (phpMyadmin management entrance)
PHP Information Version 5.1.6 (PHP related configuration information)
At the bottom are the official website links for Apache, PHP, MySQL and phpMyAdmin. Further down is some Appserv-related information, which you don’t need to worry about. Only the first two connections are important.
I finally finished talking about the two PHP configuration methods, and I breathed a sigh of relief. There is also a configuration method of IIS + PHP, which we will talk about in the next tutorial. So be sure to pay attention to www.hetty.cn. Let’s stop here, haha.
