In the past six years, I have been using PHP open source systems to do projects, such as drupal, joomla, wordpress, magento, etc. Although I have also been exposed to mainstream frameworks, there are not many. Maybe I have some biases. I think simple or medium-difficulty projects should be completed with open source CMS instead of simple PHP frameworks such as thinkphp, ci, cakephp, etc. The reasons are as follows:
Common functions are available in CMS, but there is no value in developing them.
Member functions, data addition and deletion checking, permissions, article management, SEO, etc. are all very common, and the value of being developed is zero. Many mainstream PHP frameworks do not even provide a backend, and they must spend time developing the backend. This is undoubtedly reinventing the wheel. thinkphp can be said to be the most used in China, but can these common functions be downloaded and used? There is not even a component sharing platform and it is impossible to accumulate development results. In comparison, how much faster can thinkphp be than CMS?
Development quality issues
There are often two important reasons for using thinkphp to do projects. One is that it is easy to develop; the other is that it is simple and easy to find someone to maintain. Low threshold will lead to low overall development quality. Although CMS threshold is also low (such as joomla, wordpress), most common functions and components are maintained by the community, and there is not much code to actually write, so the quality is guaranteed by the community. , rather than individual developers. I think everyone who is a boss knows that reliable developers are not easy to find. Relying on the power of the community is the most cost-effective solution. It is impossible for a good PHPer to not learn a simple CMS.
Technology accumulation problem
Thinkphp is used by many people, but few people communicate and share the components they have developed. Maybe some people can have a set of thinkphp components that they commonly use, but they can only be used in projects developed by themselves, and No one wants to use other people's components. This is the reason for the technical atmosphere and community. Domestic open source has always lacked community support, so it has not developed much. Go get in touch with the drupal community, which is full of developers who are experienced in drupal. The efficiency of the project from the beginning to UAT is very high. I can conclude that the efficiency is not as high as what you can achieve with thinkphp.
The Internet is rapidly iterating
I am an early user of the Internet. When I learned PHP, there was no so-called framework, so developing a useful framework at that time was undoubtedly the best way to improve productivity. But now there is no need to worry about the development of technology without a framework. In order to quickly develop products, more efficient development solutions are imperative. Any needs should be realized more efficiently, and safety and quality must be protected. These requirements are obviously difficult for novices, so thinkphp allows novices to trade hard work for technical gaps. But this is not the spirit of open source. People who have been using thinkphp often have the concept of "I can develop one myself, so why should I learn how to expand the components of an open source system?" As long as it can be used, they do not accept other people's development ideas. , this concept was applied to the production line in the past, and it should be called working behind closed doors.
The above is just a comparison with thinkphp. It does not mean that thinkphp is not good, but the domestic community atmosphere is indeed not high. This prevents us from achieving market dominance in PHP development technology. In fact, we have been led by foreigners. Nose goes. No matter how good a framework is, without strong support from the community, it will be difficult to make it big. No matter how well you use thinkphp, one day a foreign boss may say that a foreign system is very popular and stable, and ask you to use it. You said that your thinkphp technology is very good, but in other people's open source systems, all the community members are very good. Even if you don't work, you can still find people in the community to maintain it. What's the use of you?
drupal has done a good job in communityization, and the localized community already has many members. Don’t stop learning about PHP frameworks. Find out what the mainstream PHP products are. I went to interview a PHP programmer and asked him what he knew. He only knew Thinkphp and a little YII. He had no knowledge of mainstream PHP products. What are extensions? What is a component? What is a plug-in? I have never been exposed to it, so I can still consider myself a PHP programmer.
The above introduces which PHP framework is best to use? frame? It is better to use an open source system, including the PHP framework. I hope it will be helpful to friends who are interested in PHP tutorials.
