My Harvest Journey in Beijing
Looking out the window at the heavy snowfall, I unknowingly have been in Band of Brothers for more than half a month. Looking back, everything seemed like a dream.
Beijing, I came here unexpectedly for the first time. What greeted us was a heavy snowfall. We carried our bags on our backs, took our friends with us, and took with us the confusion of having just been “kicked out” of the school for internship and our own dreams, so we embarked on a trip that just came and went. What moved me was that our train arrived in Beijing at six o'clock that morning. The sky was gray and not completely bright yet. It was snowing heavily outside and the wind was howling. Before the bus even pulled into the station, a teacher from the Band of Brothers had already called us and came to the station to pick us up, and then made all the arrangements for us before leaving. Here, I would like to thank him again.
Beijing is very unfamiliar to a newcomer like me. When I came to Band of Brothers, I thought that I would not be used to it and it would take a long time to integrate into this new group. However, when I actually arrived, I found that this was not the case. The teachers and classmates in Band of Brothers get along very harmoniously, and everyone is full of fighting spirit. My biggest feeling after coming here is that the learning atmosphere in Band of Brothers is indeed as legendary and really good. Just like Brother Liu said, "Those with good foundations work harder than you." Pressure comes with it. If you don't put some pressure on yourself, you will never know what you can do. You never know how much potential you have. Only when there is pressure will there be motivation. Occasionally I raise my head and want to take a rest. When I see those around me who are studying hard, I feel embarrassed to waste time anymore.
It’s been about half a month since I came to Band of Brothers, and it’s the first time I’ve experienced the feeling of a big family. The boredom of college is that I wander around in the small group in the dormitory every day. I endure it bit by bit in the dormitory. Looking back, I find that I have not learned anything useful. It was only when I came to Band of Brothers that I suddenly realized that this is the learning atmosphere I want and this is the life I want. Live a fulfilling life every day instead of being idle and sleepy every day.
Although it was only a short period of more than half a month, it strengthened my confidence. It made me understand that this must be the place where I break out of my cocoon and become a butterfly. It made me more determined about my goals and the path I want to take in the future. Not only did I learn knowledge here, I also developed some good habits for myself. I have met brothers and sisters from all over the world. I always believe that meeting is fate! Since we are all here by fate, we should get along well, advance and retreat together, and encourage each other. Work hard for the future together. Half a month has passed quietly. The remaining four months may be long or short. We should all cherish and cherish these days together. Let the brothers’ spirit of being persistent, down-to-earth, not giving up, and daring to take on responsibilities and wield the sword be deeply imprinted in my bones, and let me continue on the road of life.
