To install laravel locally, the php environment must be configured well. It is recommended to build xmapp with one click.

1. Download the program package directly from the official, official open source address: https://github.com/laravel/laravel (of course, you can also download it from this website: http://www.golaravel.com/download/ with one click Installation package, you can see the page after downloading it, we will not discuss it here).

2. Place the decompressed folder in the local environment directory. Access to http://localhost/laravel/ is inaccessible. Laravel places the start page in the public directory. Visit the following address to get started.

http://localhost/laravel/public/, unfortunately, an error was reported, as shown below, which means that the autoload.php directory under the vendor directory was not found. Of course you can't find this file because it doesn't exist.

3. Next, you need to install composer (install it yourself), run the command line, go to the laravel directory, enter the

composer install

command, as shown below:

Wait After the installation is completed, the wendor directory appears in the laravel folder.

4. You find that you still cannot access, and two big lines of "Whoops, looks like something went wrong." appear. This is because we have not turned on debugging, so we cannot see the error message.

Open app.php in the laravelconfig directory, modify

'debug' => env('APP_DEBUG', false), to 'debug' => env('APP_DEBUG', true),

We will Saw the error message: 'No supported encrypter found. The cipher and/or key length are invalid.'.

Don’t worry, this is because we did not configure the .env file. Find .env.example in the laravel directory and rename it .env. If you are using a window system, the following prompt will pop up

The solution is very simple: save it with Notepad and rename it.

It is still inaccessible because the app_key of .env is not set. Enter on the command line:

php artisan key:generate

.env file will automatically generate app_key. The lazy way is to randomly create a 32-character key.

Seeing the words 'Laravel 5' means the installation is successful.

The above introduces the first lesson of Laravel self-study: laravel download and installation, including github content. I hope it will be helpful to friends who are interested in PHP tutorials.
