How to optimize the head and body of a website

Oct 19, 2016 am 10:19 AM

We know that any website must be parsed into HTML before the browser can recognize it. In other words, any website made with any technology will be parsed into HTML by the browser. Therefore, we must understand that an HTML page consists of three parts, that is, the start tag and end tag of html, the start tag and end tag of head, and the start tag and end tag of body.

There is nothing much to say about the start tag and end tag of html. Let’s talk about these two aspects of head and body:

1. Head optimization:

The Head part is the first part read by search engines and plays an important role in SEO, especially the role of title and description. This part mainly focuses on Meta tag optimization.

META The three that we pay most attention to are "Title, Keywords, Description", and the less commonly used "Subject, Author, Copyright". After determining the keywords, how to arrange the keyword distribution among these three tags is actually very particular. It is no exaggeration to say that I personally spent nearly half a year researching these three labels at first, and then I will share with you some of my experiences in the past six months without reservation.

1、Title

Title is also similar to a Description. There are usually four points to note when describing Title:

(1) Don’t stuff too many keywords

(2) The title should not be too long, limit it to 30 Chinese characters

(3) Integration of long-tail keywords

(4) Use the symbols "|" or "," to separate keywords.

When making a title, you must pay attention to writing skills, and the keywords must be written in place, but at the same time, do not pile them up, and also pay attention to new ideas.

2、 Keywords

Keywords tag At present, Yahoo pays more attention to it, while Baidu and Google have gradually lost their attention. Of course, none of us know when they will pay attention to it again, so it is necessary to write Keywords. How to write it? Usually when I write, I only write a few core keywords, separated by English commas. I try to make the keywords as concise as possible, and there are no special techniques.

3、Description

Description is often where we lay out website keywords and long-tail keywords. Is Description a more important tag? We're pretty sure Google said yes, but what about Baidu? Speaking of Baidu's crawling of Description, there are currently many websites that do not display the Description written by themselves in the description information of Baidu search results, but display a certain part of the content at the top of the website as a description. Someone said: "This is because Baidu believes that the crawled content is more suitable for describing the website itself." This is not entirely true. When your website is included stably, Baidu still displays Description. Description and Title have the same status. Every SEOER performs a lot of optimization techniques on these two aspects. Take www.enkj.com/domain/ as an example. The keyword of this page is domain name registration. In the Title, this keyword has been repeated enough, but it is not enough to just write the title like this. Without detailed analysis of the keywords, the number of words in the title limit Not much, and the emergence of Description just solves this shortcoming.

4、Subject、Author、Copyright

We generally use these three tags very rarely. When is it more appropriate for us to use these three tags? These three tags are commonly used in some small business websites, especially websites with little text content on their homepages, which are difficult to optimize. It can play a role in increasing the layout and density of keywords. Subject represents the theme and title of the website, and Author is the author and Copyright.

2. Optimization of the body part

The body is the main body of a page, and of course it plays an important role in SEO. The optimization of this part is also the most difficult to grasp. If your "head" part is well optimized and there is no body to support it, then the search engine is likely to regard you as cheating. Even if it is not regarded as cheating, it is impossible to give you a good weight. For the optimization of this part, I think the optimization should be mainly focused on the following two aspects.

(1), keyword density, layout

Keyword layout is a crucial point in SEO. Good keyword density and layout are a key to rapid improvement in rankings. However, what kind of keyword density and layout is better?

1. First, let’s look at keyword density

At first, we met many people who often said that it doesn’t matter how dense the keywords are, as long as they are reasonable. Then let me give you a density of 50%. He might say: "NO, NO, NO." Obviously, reasonableness is correct. The key is that the density is important, not irrelevant. I think the density must be at least 3% or above, otherwise the density will be too low and the correlation will be slightly worse. The height is controlled below 10%.

2. Keyword layout

The layout of keywords follows three principles: 1. From top to bottom 2. From left to right 3. Everywhere

I personally research on keyword layout in two ways:

(1) Uniformly distributed

(2) Concentrated + Evenly Distributed

How to check the keyword layout of a word? Search for a keyword on Baidu and click on Baidu snapshot to view it. This trick is called "Baidu Snapshot Method"

Even distribution: This should be easy to understand, that is, in the snapshot, all keywords appear in a scattered form in every corner of your website, and you ensure that they are relatively even, so when describing the Meta or the arrangement of the article content, you must Have a plan beforehand. Concentrated + evenly distributed: I have always used this method, and the effect is pretty good. Concentrate a certain part of the keywords on the basis of even distribution. For example, the important position of the head. The layout of keywords is not random, it is very deliberate.

(2), Internal link optimization

The construction of internal links is a boring and laborious process, but the ranking effect it brings in the later period is obvious and stable. To do a serious optimization, you must lay a good foundation for the website. Even if your ranking is not good now and you are laughed at by some people, the person who laughs last often laughs the sweetest. There are 5 common methods for building internal links:

1. Website navigation: Many times, the navigation of the website is often the secondary keywords of the website. Every time a page is updated, these keywords are given an internal link. Over time, such internal links are somewhat powerful.

2. Anchor keyword link: For example, if the word "server" is mentioned in an article or somewhere, then the server can be connected to the main domain name http://www.enkj.com/idc/. In this way Complete the link to the anchor text, but don’t link to all servers. Just do a few. Too many will offend search engines.

3. Related article links: During content construction, a certain article or a highly relevant article will often be promoted in the article, and a title link will appear in the article. In addition, there are links to popular articles, links to series of articles, FAQs, etc. In content construction, a certain article is often mentioned in the article.

4. Website footer: Generally, we place copyright information, etc. in the footer. Some people are used to giving a link back to the most core keywords in the footer, or repeating navigation. Just remember not to make your footer look like it’s typesetting. This is a matter of degree.

5. Website map: Use the XML map creation tool to create an XML map for the website, which will significantly improve spider crawling and search engine inclusion. This will become more important in the future.

If you can grasp every detail above, then your SEO skills are already at hand. SEO pays attention to details. When doing SEO, you still need to be patient.
