Let’s take a look at the final effect first
Final rendering:
1. Notebook paper material preparation
First of all, you must prepare the notebook paper material. You can also buy one from iStock, or you can directly scan the notebook yourself.
Cut out the image, cut the required notebook paper, and add a 2PX projection effect.
2. Water stain effect
Left mouse button + CTRL click on the notebook paper layer to obtain a selection. Create a new layer group and click the small mask button at the bottom of the layers panel to add a layer mask to the layer group. In this way, each layer in the layer group can be masked by the mask.
Create a new layer. Choose a pink color (any other water stain color will work), select the pencil tool, set the transparency to 10%, and the brush radius to 100px. Just apply it where you want to add a water stain effect.
Repeat the above steps until you are satisfied with the water stain effect.
#3. Add some embellishments
Find some pictures of coffee stains, paste them over, and set the layer blending properties to multiply blend mode.
Stain and splatter effects: Download from Bittbox and use the splatter or watercolor brushes.
Add some pencil doodle illustrations. You can use scanned hand-drawn patterns, or you can use materials directly.
Choose a triangle selection at the corner of the notebook paper, select gray and apply a gradient to create an origami effect.
4. Handwritten text
If you don’t have any good handwritten fonts, go to Dafont or Urban Fonts to download them. Create a new layer.
#Find a different font and enter the text that appears when you slide the mouse over it.
5. RSS ICON washing effect processing
Use the eraser tool, select the SPLATTER brush, and set the transparency to 10%. Feel free to erase the corners of the RSS logo. Then paint some brown to create a stain effect.
#6. Graffiti borders
Graffiti-style borders or pencil-drawn borders can be drawn very easily in Adobe Illustrator Come out. Draw the shape/path of the border, open the Brushes panel, select the charcoal brush type, and set the stroke width to 0.25PT.
7. Complete
That’s it! If you want to spend more time on the details, you can add some paper clips, clips, sticky notes, pencil doodles, etc.
