Detailed explanation of the difference between font-weight: bolder and setting value in css

Jul 22, 2017 pm 01:18 PM

I set font-weight: bolder before; I never understood why the final effect when displayed on the browser became normal. After checking, I found that bolder is relative to the parent element.

If the value of the parent object is normal and the value of the child object is set to bolder, it will eventually be displayed in bold, that is, bold.

And my parent element has set font-weight:200; so the final display becomes normal.

font-weight Font thickness (fine) attribute

Value: normal | bold | bolder | lighter | 100 | 200 | 300 | 400 | 500 | 600 | 700 | 800 | 900 | inherit
