New Android P features to be released by Google in March leaked

Now that we have entered March, the official release date of Android P that Android fans have been waiting for is getting closer and closer. Although Google has not officially announced it, there is news about Android P. Still flying all over the place.

Android Police explains that Android P supports the Iris scanner. Several submissions for iris recognition as a biometric security method have been submitted to the Android Open Source Project (AOSP).

Don’t get too excited, this has nothing to do with Android engineers, it’s all the work of the software engineers responsible for fingerprints.

However, earlier rumors do indicate that Google is considering adding notch support to Android P due to the new iPhone X design and its notch (notch) receiving a lot of support.

But don’t get your hopes up too much until Google actually confirms that Android P will have native iris unlocking support. It doesn’t necessarily mean that Pixel 3 actually has iris unlocking functionality.

Another interesting Android P news comes from the Reddit website. At the end of January, a user noticed that a Huawei employee submitted an Android P bug to Google’s official issue tracker. In other words, Huawei is also involved.

It is reported that Google will indeed provide device manufacturers with early access to new Android versions, in theory to help them speed up Android updates, especially now that Oreo has implemented the Treble plan.

Google confirmed that the issue was passed to the development team and marked it as fixed a few days ago.

This doesn’t mean Huawei will be participating in the upcoming Android developer preview, which will be released publicly for Nexus and Pixel devices in the coming months.

At the same time, it does not indicate that Huawei is involved in the production of future Pixel models. Given that Google acquired much of HTC's engineering team, it's expected that Google will be able to create the Pixel 3 itself.

Of course it’s more than that. xda developers have developed an enhanced call blocking feature that will allow users to block calls from unknown, private and paid phone numbers.

I believe this feature will definitely be welcomed by users, and we can finally get rid of those annoying calls.

Finally, Google announced on Wednesday that it will block unofficial Android APIs in Android P.

This means that the unofficial working Android API of the Android SDK will not be available for application development. This is intended to prevent abnormal application behavior that may be caused by the use of unofficial APIs.
