How to set the speed mode of Google Chrome

There is no speed mode in Google Chrome, only compatibility mode. The compatibility mode setting method is as follows:

2. Select "Settings" in the drop-down list
3. Select the "Extensions" option
4. Drag the IE Tab plug-in in the downloaded folder directly into Google Chrome
5. In the pop-up dialog box, select: Add extension
6. You can see that IE Tab has been installed and enabled on the Google Chrome extension page. The IE Tab plug-in icon also appears behind the address bar.
7. In an incompatible webpage, you can right-click and select IETab to open, or directly click the IETab icon behind the address bar to open the webpage in compatibility mode.

Google plans to launch an “extreme speed” mode for the Chrome browser

Google is working on launching a A new feature that makes Chrome more responsive on certain websites. This new feature, called "Never Slow," helps users accessing slower resources by setting a limit on the size of the loaded resource and then discarding the portions that cause the page to read too slowly. This new mode is based on the so-called budget management mode, which depends on how Google Chrome handles available page resources.

#It remains to be seen how and when Google will implement this update in Google Chrome, which is currently still in testing. The company is currently testing an experimental version of Chrome for early builds, but it may take longer than expected before it can be upgraded to a stable version.

Google said that web pages can define whether to turn on NSM mode in the HTTP header. If the site optionally turns on NSM mode, Chrome will deploy a limited resource budget to improve the page loading speed and improve the web page experience. .

For websites, NSM mode makes it easier for their readers to ensure "loading speed".

NSM’s behavioral feature policy (FeaturePolicy) will disable some web platform functions or set resource budgets to improve loading speed.

Limitations for JavaScript and WASM modules: 50KiB for each resource, 500KiB for all interactions in a single file;

CSS style sheet: 100KiB for each resource, 200KiB for all interactions.

Web fonts: Each resource is capped at 100KiB; all interactions are capped at 100KiB.

Images: Each resource is capped at 1024KiB (1MiB), and all interactions in a single file are capped at 2048KiB (2MiB)
