Ubuntu multi-version php switching
I want to learn swoole recently. Although the machine is installed with php7.0, considering that some swoole wheels depend on higher versions (such as swooletw), I upgraded the machine to php7.2. The following is Search the Internet or make some notes yourself.
Version upgrade operation (directly upgrade from 7.0 to 7.2):
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ondrej/php sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get upgrade php # 拓展升级 sudo apt-get install php7.2-mbstring sudo apt-get install php7.2-gd sudo apt-get install php7.2-dom sudo apt-get install php7.2-mysql sudo apt-get install php7.2-curl ......
If necessary, you can install swoole:
https://wiki.swoole.com/wiki/page/6.html
It is recommended to use pecl install directly Swoole installation is a one-step process. If you compile it manually, it seems that there will be various problems due to incompatible versions.
Switch version:
# 禁用7.0版本 sudo a2dismod php7.0 # 启用7.2版本 sudo a2enmod php7.2 # 重启nginx(或apache) sudo service nginx restart
If ERROR: Module php7.0 does not exist! appears, execute sudo apt-get install libapache2-mod-php7.0 and then execute The above operation
At this time, you should be able to see the 7.2 version by checking phpinfo() in the browser, but the command line cli is still 7.0. You need to perform the following operations:
# 切换cli sudo update-alternatives --set php /usr/bin/php7.2
This way on the command line You can also see the 7.2 version by executing php -v
If there are two versions, you can actually use sudo service php7.0-fpm stop/restart to switch. Of course, this can only switch php-fpm. That is to say, the web side and the command line cli side still cannot be switched.
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '?', expecting variable (T_VARIABLE):
After upgrading the version, I also struggled with php7.1, and then when I came back the next day and started the computer, I found that all laravel projects reported this error. After searching online, I found out that it was a version problem, but after checking php -v, it was 7.2. When I tried to restart php, I reported an error. The following error is the problem:
ERROR: unable to bind listening socket for address '127.0.0.1:9001': Address already in use (98)
It means that the port is occupied, and then php fastCGI program failed to start
Solution:
ps aux|grep php View all php-fpm processes and find that there is a php7.1-fpm process, get the process id, and then kill it to restart.
The solution to online query is the killall php-pfm command. After execution, it only displays php-pfm: No operation found. This method is useless. Finally, use the above query process, and then kill according to the process ID. How to kill a process
