1. By default, the oracle log file is recorded in the $ORACLE/rdbms/log directory

[oracle@oracle log]$ pwd  
/home/oracle/oracle/product/11.2.0/db_1/rdbms/log

The log file is (alert_.log):

[oracle@oracle log]$ ll
