How to check whether mysql is installed on centos

Determine whether to install mysql by checking the file installation path.

Enter in the terminal:

whereis mysql
Copy after login

Press Enter. If you have installed mysql, the file installation address will be displayed, such as mine (the installation address may be different)

[root@localhost ~]# whereis mysql
mysql: /usr/bin/mysql /usr/lib/mysql /usr/share/mysql /usr/share/man/man1/mysql.1.gz
Copy after login

Explanation: usr/lib/mysql refers to: the installation path of mysql.

If you are installing using rpm, check the RPM PACKAGE:

rpm -qa | grep -i mysql
Copy after login

Check mysql service:

service mysql status
Copy after login
