How to delete master-slave in mysql

After creating the database master-slave configuration, if you want to delete the master-slave service of the database, you can delete the database master-slave according to the following steps

1. Stop the master-slave synchronization of the slave server

In order to prevent the master-slave data from being out of sync, you need to stop the synchronization service on the slave first.

 STOP SLAVE;
Copy after login

2. Lock the database of the master server

In order to avoid updating the database during backup, the database must be locked.

 FLUSH TABLES WITH READ LOCK;
Copy after login

3. Back up the data on the master

   mysqldump -u root -p -databases db1 db2 > bak.sql
Copy after login

4. Reset the master service

  RESET MASTER;
Copy after login

RESET MASTER--Deletes all binary logs and creates a .000001 Empty log. RESET MASTER will not affect the working status of the SLAVE server, so blindly executing this command will cause the slave to not be able to find the master's binlog, causing synchronization to fail. We want to delete the synchronization, so we must execute it.

5. Unlock the database of the master server

  UNLOCK TABLES;
Copy after login

6. Copy the backup file on the master to the slave server

7. Delete the old data on the slave server

Before deleting, please confirm whether all the backups have been backed up.

8. Import data

    SOURCE  /root/bak.sql;
Copy after login

9. Reset the slave service

Stop the slave service first and then proceed

RESET SLAVE;
Copy after login

RESET SLAVE--Clear the slave service Sync location, delete all old sync logs and start over with new ones, which is exactly what we want. It should be noted that the slave service must be stopped first (STOP SLAVE). We have stopped it in the first step.

10. Restart the database

After restarting the database, you’re done!
