How to modify the title bar of a php web page

Apr 10, 2023 am 09:38 AM

PHP is a web programming language that is widely used to build websites and web applications. In web development, the title (or page title) is one of the important parts of a web page. It is located on the browser's tab bar and can be used to describe the content of the web page.

In PHP, you can use the following two methods to modify the title bar of a web page.

1. Use HTML tags to achieve

In HTML, we can use the <title> tag to define the title bar of the web page. In order to use it in PHP, we can include the HTML code in the PHP code as follows:

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
    <title><?php echo "修改后的网页标题"; ?></title>
</head>
<body>
    <p>这是修改后的网页内容</p>
</body>
</html>
Copy after login

In this example, we embed the PHP code into the HTML code using echo## The # statement outputs the new web page title. When the web page is opened in the browser, the "modified web page title" will be displayed as the title bar of the web page.

As you can see, this method is relatively simple, but if the website has a large number of web pages that need to modify the title bar, the code duplication will be relatively high. So, it is better to use the second way.

2. Use global variables to achieve

There is a global variable named

$_SERVER in PHP, which is used to store server and execution environment information. Among them, $_SERVER['PHP_SELF'] records the name of the script file currently being executed. We can use it to directly modify the title bar of the current web page. As shown below:

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
    <?php $pageTitle = "修改后的网页标题"; ?>
    <title><?php echo $pageTitle; ?></title>
</head>
<body>
    <p>这是修改后的网页内容</p>
</body>
</html>
Copy after login
In this example, we define a variable

$pageTitle to store the new web page title and output it with the echo statement. This method is more flexible and can easily modify the titles of multiple web pages without including HTML tags for each web page.

In addition, you can also use other methods to dynamically modify the title bar. For example, when using a template engine, use variables in the template file to represent the title, and then calculate and pass the value of the variable in the background.

Summary:

The above are two ways to modify the title bar in PHP. In actual development, appropriate methods should be selected according to specific circumstances to improve the efficiency of web development and maintenance.
