Windows Server build 25267 and Datacenter: Azure Edition ISO now available
#Microsoft has released a new version of Windows Server Insider Preview. This month's build 25267 is now available for download as an ISO from the Windows Server Insider website with VHDX. It includes the (Windows 11) desktop experience and Server Core installation options for Datacenter and Standard editions.
Branding has not been updated and is still Windows Server 2022 in preview. Additionally, Microsoft encourages Insiders to provide feedback in the Windows Server category and then in the appropriate subcategories. Windows Server Azure Edition is a special edition of Windows Server designed to run in Azure as an Azure IaaS virtual machine (VM) or as a VM on an Azure Stack HCI cluster. Unlike the traditional Standard or Datacenter Editions, the Azure Edition is not licensed to run on bare metal hardware, Windows Client Hyper-V or Windows Server Hyper-V, or in a 3rd party hypervisor or 3rd party cloud. You can install this preview in a VM for testing and evaluation purposes only. When evaluating an Azure Edition VM that is not running in Azure Stack HCI or Azure, you will receive the expected error message when logging into the VM, Windows Admin Center, and the system event log, and the VM will not activate its license. The ISO can be used to test upgrades or create your own VM image for testing.
